Dr. Brandy Ellison

Brandy Ellison is the Director of the Center for Integrative Studies in Social Science at MSU. She collaborates with faculty and staff members to develop and offer vigorous courses for MSU's social science general education curriculum and to facilitate two interdisciplinary majors. She has more than twenty years of teaching experience and currently teaches students in interactive classes about the pursuit of happiness and exploring information literacy in an age of information overload. She also co-leads a seminar about how to do nothing. Prior to her appointment in the Center, Brandy worked as the Director of Student Success for the College of Social Science. Before coming to MSU, she worked and studied at the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a Ph.D. in Sociology.
