The Center for Integrative Studies (CIS) at Michigan State University would like to congratulate Dr. Eddie Boucher on being named the associate director of the CIS.
Boucher has been at MSU within the CIS since 2019. As an assistant professor, he instructs students in global studies and interdisciplinary research methods. Additionally, he created a study abroad program to India in which MSU students collaborate with Indian students exploring craft and design to produce short-format documentaries that represent qualitative, interdisciplinary research. He leads this initiative every summer.
Boucher said he is excited to take on the new role and he is looking forward to the future of the CIS.
“It feels great to be recognized for the work I have done within the CIS,” Boucher said. “This is a position I aspired to have since I came to MSU in 2019 and I am excited to see what work I can get done with Brandy Ellison [the director of the CIS] and how we can best serve our students.”
Dr. Ellison said she is eager to collaborate with Boucher to improve the CIS and its offerings to students.
“I am looking forward to our creative synergies as we work to make the Center for Integrative Studies in Social Science even better than it already is. His wisdom, energy, and commitment will add fuel to our efforts.”
