Assistant Professor Stacy Smith holds a BA in Psychology (1991) and English (1992) from Wichita State University, an MA (1995) in English Literature, Composition, and Rhetoric, and a PhD in Sociology (2017), both from Kansas State University. Prior to coming to MSU in 2019, she taught English Composition and Literature courses for many years at Universities in Kansas, and sociology courses in Kansas, South Carolina, and Alabama.
