Specialist and Academic Advisor, Nicolas Gisholt holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan (2005) and a BS in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (1998). Prior to living in Michigan, he lived in Boston, Massachusetts where he worked as a Clinical and School Social Worker in different elementary schools, serving primarily the Latino and African American community in Jamaica Plain, in the city of Boston.

His primary interests relate to the importance of teaching interdisciplinary methods as real-life strategies for academic and career purposes, especially underserved and low SES students. Other areas include advocacy for the Latino community and DEI topics in relation to the workplace and educational institutions. He is also the Academic Advisor for the Department of Anthropology.
