Assistant Professor Bryan R. Ellis is a graduate of Edwin Denby High School in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Montana, where he was a student-athlete on the Grizzlies men’s basketball team. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in Sociology from Howard University with concentrations in urban sociology and social inequality. Prior to joining the Center of Integrative Studies, he held faculty appointments in the Irvin D. Reid Honors College
