Emily Muhich holds a B.S. in History, Philosophy and Sociology of Science from Michigan State University (2019) and an M.A. (2021) and PhD (2024) in U.S. History from Louisiana State University. Emily’s research explores late-nineteenth and twentieth century education policy in the United States and the way schools engaged with racial, religious and geographic inequalities. In her teaching and research, she explores the way groups and individuals use shared public entities like schools and popular culture to advance their rights and privileges.
